Hermès Menswear Director Wales Bonner Is Dropping Another adidas Superstar

Grace Wales Bonner sent a major shockwave through the world of high fashion, having been appointed as the creative director of the storied imprint’s menswear line. She now tacks that illustrious title onto helming her own eponymous label and, of course, her continuing totemic work with adidas.

After a silk and sequin collection hit the newswire, the latest update in the Wales Bonner x adidas saga comes with a familiar silhouette: the adidas Superstar. After taking a crack at the base shelltoe in 2024, Bonner further assisted the Three Stripes’ year-long push for the model more unconventionally, unveiling a baggy suede reimagining of the Superstar Hi. The pair at hand returns to a more familiar layout, utilizing the crackly croc-skin exteriors, exposed stitching, and leather collars seen in last year’s model. Where this one diverges is in an overall aged and refined air, hitting off-white rubber in the platform and deep brown hues at the collar and Three Stripes branding.

The Wales Bonner x adidas Superstar, along with much of what’s already been revealed for Holiday 2025, is queued up to release on October 31st—this pair in particular clocks in at $280.
