size? Queues Up Two Exclusive New Balance 1906D Colorways

The term “modern classic” is thrown around a lot, but considering the concept came as the brand began to truly crest in its modern re-emergence, the New Balance “Protection Pack” is deserving of the moniker. Evidently, those in Boston agree with that estimation. The 2002R has begun to trickle back onto the shelves in European markets, reviving its now-iconic neutral shades for a new audience.

Apparently, the same goes for the New Balance 1906D “Protection Pack,” now rocketing back into the consciousness as size? takes on the model. With the European retailer having taken to the 2002R earlier for similar treatments, their inclusion isn’t overall a surprise, but reviving an entirely different silhouette for this purpose certainly is enough to raise our eyebrows. While fresh color-ups would be welcome if the imprint left it at that, they’re also taking this opportunity to add Cordura materials to its base—an additional layer of hardiness that bolsters its deconstructed aesthetics. And yes, two novel colorways are indeed on tap: an earthy brown/tan/olive and an aquatic navy/pale blue/grey.

These two colorways in the size?-exclusive New Balance 1906D “Protection Pack” release on November 7th via size? online and in-store. Retail pricing hasn’t yet been announced, but we’ll keep this page current as additional info surfaces.
