The SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 is shaping up to be a bona fide Sneaker of the Year candidate, but unfortunately, SoleFly has informed us that some nefarious actors may have thrown a wrench in the brand’s plans. SoleFly reached out to Sneaker News with the following unfortunate update:
Multiple pairs of the SoleFly Jordan 3s and their boxes were stolen while in transit to Nike’s Memphis distribution center. Nike, Inc. is currently investigating the situation. Unfortunately, this incident may impact the timing of the planned release.
We’ll share updates as soon as more information becomes available.
That’s disappointing, to say the least, but not completely unheard of. Nike’s Memphis distribution center has been targeted before for several high-value releases, including a few in 2025 alone. While not reported to be connected, it also brings to mind the recent CoolKicks stolen sneakers situation from the other month.
Coincidentally (or maybe not) news of the stolen pairs came on the heels of a wave of new images starting to circulate on social media. Overall, the SoleFly Air Jordan 3 had proved a drawn-out plotline, something this only complicates, first revealed at the start of the college football season by enlisting some UMiami legends before rising to the fore again as notable Miamians like DJ Khaled got their hands on their pairs.
We’ve known a Hurricanes-approved flip of the Air Jordan 3 “Fire Red” is the central prompt for some time, but the finer aspects really begin to shine with this new set. Green Nike Air branding on the heel shines as the most collector-approved section, while SoleFly script lands on the perforated leather behind that backtab. Alternating interior tongue tags reading “Sunshine State” and “Miami” are next up, as is a co-branded SF/Nike Air hangtag attaches. That same logo on an orange suede heel counter fully stamps the imprint’s influence before a dust bag and wavy custom box close out the offerings.
As of this writing, the SoleFly x Air Jordan 3 still doesn’t carry a concrete release date. We’ll update you via this article and our Jordan Release Dates hub once more info comes to light.
