Delta’s Employees-Only Nike Air Force 1 Low Is Finally Landing

Delta’s Employees-Only Nike Air Force 1 Low Is Finally Landing

Given its name and the ever-expanding world of sneaker collaborations, it was only a matter of time before the Nike Air Force 1 received a makeover from an actual airline. To celebrate its 100th anniversary, Delta released an exclusive employees-only edition featuring the company’s logo and a few other branded details. Four months after pre-orders opened, it appears that buyers are finally starting to receive their pairs.

There’s no major update to report, but the gallery below offers our best look at the sneaker yet. Delta’s red chevron logo appears on the lateral heel, while the Swoosh comes dressed in grey leather with blue piping. The tongue tag features Delta’s centennial branding, and an extra set of blue laces is included.

A couple of details stand out: the sneaker comes packaged in a Nike By You box, which is an interesting choice for an internal release. There’s also a card included that notes the shoe is “restricted from resale.” Technically every Nike shoe is restricted from resale under the brand’s policies, but it makes sense that Nike would want to keep this pair exclusive to Delta employees. The Nike By You box may also serve as a subtle deterrent for resellers, given it’s harder to authenticate.
