Andrew Rizzo From the outset, Edison Chen’s Clot x adidas partnership promised to focus on reimagining established existing models, not simply releasing mere color and material touch-ups. Nearly two years later, that’s exactly what we’ve gotten, led by espadrille Stan Smiths, sawtooth-soled Superstars, and myriad other releases that feel undeniably fresh.
As we dive deeper into autumn and brace for winter, the Clot x adidas partnership is adding a new silhouette to its arsenal with a Pro Model pack. The once basketball sneaker is here reimagined through the lens of a rugged winter boot.
No detail is left untouched. Starting from the bottom up, a chunky sawtooth sole unit similar to Chen’s run of Superstar styles is utilized, which is fitting given the Pro Model is basically a high-top Superstar. Leather welting, a leather shell toe, and oxford-style perforations add a dressy vibe, complemented by metallic eyelets, leather sock liners, and hairy suede around the collar.
As with every Clot x adidas footwear release, the sneaker is accompanied by a slate of on-theme apparel. Following a Stan Smith collaboration framed in the setting of a country club, Chen and company now turn focus to the campus with a varsity-inspired apparel lineup, including jackets, elevated track pants, and other campus classics.
The Clot x adidas Pro Model and accompanying apparel release November 15th via Edison Chen’s JUICESTORE, likely followed by an adidas CONFIRMED drop. The Pro Model will be available in Navy and Brown colorways for $220 a piece. See detailed images below if you’re considering copping.
