Matt Varga The BornXRaised Sadie Hawkins Winter Formal is a tradition like no other, first started in 2014 as an intimate celebration of the brand’s inner circle before exploding into a who’s-who extravaganza. During that evolution, the brand has been able to leverage some of its more notable relationships in footwear for some special gear for invitees — once again the case as we stare down the 2025 edition.
This year, BornXRaised keeps things close to home, cooking up a collaborative effort with California company Vans. Most evident of the two shoes shown is a green snakeskin makeover for the Old Skool 36, interrupting a viridescent flooded arrangement with trademark gothic text through the midsole and co-branded tags just below the collar. As a counterweight, the Authentic 44 also gets in on the action — a bit harder to parse in this teaser shot but seemingly taking to all-over navy while keeping a leather composition intact. Similar BXR hallmarks dot the midsole of that shorter counterpart.
