Copper Accents Touch Up A Black New Balance 9060

New Balance has leaned heavily into the “special makeup” strategy in recent seasons, and given how strong the brand’s lifestyle category has been performing, was can assume it’s paying off. The approach has boosted market share and strengthened ties with retailers, which is why you’re bound to run into at least one store-exclusive pair on pretty much any trip to a major chain. If JD Sports or Finish Line are in your regular rotation, this black and copper New Balance 9060 is one you’ll be seeing very soon.

The all-black 9060 has quietly been one of the model’s stronger inline colorways, so anything in that neighborhood is likely to get attention. This pair fits that mold, built on a black mesh base with black suede overlays and a black ABZORB SBS sole that includes a few subtle grey touches. The real separator is copper detailing across the New Balance logos, forefoot underlays, and heel tab, reminiscent of an upcoming New Balance 2000. You might recall the Nike Air Tuned Max “Celery” or even Joe Freshgoods’ New Balance 1000 from last year, albeit this pair keeps things far more understated.

The New Balance 9060 “Black/Copper” releases December 3rd through JD Sports and Finish Line for $160. Check out official images below if you’re planning to cop.
