A softer side of Ant's signature.

The adidas Anthony Edwards 2 “Lucid Pink” Is A Bit Different Than Expected

Long-anticipated, the era of the adidas Anthony Edwards 2 is finally upon us, currently serving as arguably the sneaker in the latest class of adidas’ celebrated current signature line. With retail launching finally beginning to dot the calendar, we’re cross-referencing some of the leaked pairs that helped us build an understanding of what Ant’s sequel would hold. One such variation now emerges as the adidas Anthony Edwards 2 “Lucid Pink” hits the Three Stripes servers.

Early leaked images presented this shoe with tan anchoring at the toe and heel, almost midway between the eventual launch pair in the AE2 “With Love” and the one depicted in official images here. At the risk of being reductive, where the release colorway breaks from our expectations is with a hell of a lot more pink, entirely draping the mesh exteriors of the model and additionally dying the synthetic containment and collar piping. Beneath those rosy overtones, a more traditional blend between black and red defines the bootie interior and vents, making one final appearance on the outsoles.

The adidas Anthony Edwards 2 “Lucid Pink” is currently projected to touch down in January, clocking in at $130 in adult sizing. GS (pictured in the gallery below) and PS sizing are also confirmed, retailing for $100 and $80, respectively.
