The years following Michael Jordan’s retirement marked one of the most pivotal times in Jordan Brand’s history. Until then, the Jumpman had relied on MJ’s on-court feats as the primary driver of sales. Once his stat sheet was officially complete, the brand was forced to get more creative, ushering in an era defined by hybrid models, deeper storytelling (since there were no new chapters to unfold on the hardwood), and the debut of its first signature athlete in Carmelo Anthony.
The mid-2000s also delivered a memorable run of non-original colorways, and it’s become increasingly clear that this era will be a major focus for the Jumpman in 2026. Following news of Jordan 5 “Sunset” and Jordan 5 “Black/University Blue” retros, we’re now learning that the Jordan 14 “Forest Green” from 2005 will see its first-ever retro release (per zSneakerHeadZ and Sneaker Files).
Not to be confused with the original “Oxidized Green” Jordan 14 from 1999, the “Forest Green” features the model’s pleated, perforated leather upper in white. The titular shade appears on the midsole, branding, and heel, paired with a black carbon-fiber shank and a black tongue top.
Note that the images of the 2005 pair shown below display an off-white tint on the spine – that’s simply due to aging and not indicative of what the 2026 retro will look like. The official color palette for this release is “White/Black-Dark Forest-Light Graphite,” which aligns well with the original design.
The Jordan 14 “Forest Green” is slated for Holiday 2026, meaning sometime between next October and December. Expect a retail price of $215 USD.
More immediately on our Jordan Release Dates page, the “Gamma” 11s drop December 13th.
