Original article published December 16th, 2025:

Even with news of the 991 returning into the fold (in at least two colorways), the New Balance 991v2 marches on as the premiere Made in UK silhouette for the moment. Primed for comfort and draped in premium materials, 2025 marked a prolific period, but don’t expect the model to slow down anytime soon.

Product images of a new “grey/peach” edition confirm as much, starting to make the rounds overseas. Much of this shoe’s layout will likely ring familiar, from a black mesh foundation, to off-white midsole coloring, to a snowy sockliner. There’s echoes of the Aime Leon Dore 991, or at least its overall principles, if you squint; both carrying the off-color underlays that offset what’d otherwise be a rather cut-and-dry trademark New Balance palette.

Either way, whether you ascribe to those collab connections or not, the New Balance 991v2 has already started popping up at European outlets. Be ready for a wide NewBalance.com launch sometime in the coming weeks, commanding the usual $250 price tag.
