Nike Book 1 “Torched” Launches December 30th

The dust is finally settling on the Nike Book 1 era, and by most measures, it is safe to say Devin Booker’s inaugural signature model was a success. The shoe earned favor with hoopers from the NBA to the amateur ranks, while also racking up a healthy run of PEs and special edition releases. With the Nike Book 2 set to take over in January 2026, the Book 1 chapter comes to a close with a pre-cooked style dubbed “Torched” releasing December 30th.

The final Nike Book 1 colorway draws inspiration from burning pages, a fitting visual metaphor for closing one chapter and beginning the next. The shoe’s other nickname, “Rise From The Ashes,” nods to the phoenix of mythology, symbolizing rebirth, renewal, and emerging stronger after destruction.

At the shoe’s core is a white canvas upper made to resemble papyrus, complete with frilled edges and abstract paneling around the forefoot and collar. From there, “torched” details appear in varying shades of brown, most prominently around the Swoosh, toe box, tongue, and the back half of the midsole. The theme extends to the branding, with a burned-out circle replacing the first “O” in Book’s name on the tongue tag, echoed again on the insoles. For one last special touch, the box itself arrives pre-distressed.

The Nike Book 1 “Torched” releases December 30th for $155 USD via Nike and select retailers. The Nike Book 2 will make its debut later that same week. See official images below and visit our Sneaker Release Dates page to browse more upcoming basketball shoes.
