The Nike Book 2 “Rising” Drops January 2nd

Nuanced storytelling kicks off Devin Booker's latest signature model.

The Nike Book 2 “Rising” Drops January 2nd

After more than two years between its initial unveiling and final release, the Nike Book 1 is finally giving way to the Nike Book 2 at the start of 2026. To mark the transition, Nike Basketball is rolling out two styles that symbolize the end of the first model’s chapter and the beginning of the next.

You’ve already seen official images of the Nike Book 1 “Torched” releasing December 30th, which features a pre-distressed design inspired by the close of Booker’s inaugural signature run. Drawing from mythology, the phoenix then rises from the ashes as a symbol of rebirth and renewal, a theme that fits especially well for the Phoenix Suns’ star guard. That symbolic handoff continues with two Book 2 colorways arriving January 2nd: an orange “Phoenix” and a black edition dubbed “Rising.”

One of a few colorways previewed to media in Oregon earlier the other month, the Book 2 “Rising” features a black base with molded lines that flow up toward the eyelets. A lava-like black and Safety Orange pattern covers the midsole, while vibrant Sundial-colored Swooshes punctuate both sides. Vertical “Book” and “Chapter Two” branding appears on the tongue and spine, respectively, while sun-inspired radial traction comes in underfoot.

The Nike Book 2 “Rising” debuts January 2nd, 2026, and will be available via SNKRS and select retailers. Retail is set at $145 USD.
