Victor Wembayama’s Nike GT Cut 4 Is Fit For An Alien

Since its debut in 2021, Nike Basketball’s GT Cut series has emerged as the pinnacle of the brand’s performance engineering. Impressive design paired with proven ability has garnered high praise from the hooping community, particularly in China where the Cut’s ethos aligns perfectly with the Eastern style of play. The anticipation surrounding the Zoom GT Cut 4 is undeniably the highest ever experienced by the line, largely due to its daring and unorthodox appearance; who better than Victor Wembanyama to fit that bill?

Dropping in 2026 is the lanky Spurs big-man’s Zoom GT Cut 4 release; it will headline the brand’s for-retail Player Exclusive program that gives up-and-coming stars an opportunity to shine. Wemby’s pair does literally that due to a a complete lenticular finish on the upper paired with a glossy gold on the medial side; this vibrant finish works well with the deep grooves above the midsole and tongue, creating that true alien-like aesthetic that is unmatched in the current state of basketball footwear.

Victor’s alien face logo appears on the medial heel; it’s this simple detailing that allows the silhouette do all the talking, and boy does it talk a big talk. And while there are no outward markings, these are expected to be an All-Star 2026 PE.

The Zoom GT Cut 4 silhouette is expected to launch this Spring 2026, while Wemby’s PE will appear in February to coincide with the NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles.
