We’ve cited it before, but the “reduction of staple models” continues to loom over the Nike Dunk. In comments in earnings calls since, leadership has shown an overall decline in the relative share of the Swoosh catalog that the AF1, Dunk, and AJ1 occupy. On our end, there’s no doubt that run-of-the-mill, two-tone Dunks have declined in presence since that strategy was unveiled. If anything, we’ve seen more experimental editions take their place, again at the top of mind as a Nike Dunk Low “Woven” series emerges.
It’s really all in the name for this latest metamorphosis, replacing the typical flat materials at the quarter and in the toe with intersecting strips of leather. Around that new hardware choice, textured suede handles the overlays, with the rest of the shoe’s real estate leaning on typical construction. For the initial two colors delivered here, moody “Tattoo” and “Medium Olive” are the choices, their low-contrast tones bolstered with an everlasting gum sole below.
These two Nike Dunk Low “Woven” colorways should be coming soon to shelves, digital and physical, checking in with retail set at $125. Catch official images below and keep our Sneaker Release Dates page within reach for all the latest.
