The forecast says: heat.

Jalen Williams Nods To OKC Climate With The adidas Harden Vol. 10 “Weatherman” PE

For the second year in a row, OKC Thunder star Jalen Williams will be under James Harden’s PE program with adidas. The talented wing will be rocking his brand-mate’s signature shoes in his own PE colorways, hinting at potential retail releases in the future. Recently, he laced up the wildest take on Harden’s 10th signature shoe dubbed the Weatherman, and almost instantly there are connections to be made.

Oklahoma City is named the Thunder for a reason. The city is situated in “Tornado Alley”, a broad area of relatively high tornado occurrence in the central United States. adidas nods to this natural condition by hitting the Harden Vol. 10 with a heat map graphic on the upper; typically dont in greens, yellows, oranges, and blues, adidas chose to stick with the Thunder’s uniform colors.

Of course, this was not the first time this concept arrived on a sneaker for an OKC icon. Kevin Durant and Nike immortalized the nickname back in 2012 with the KD 4 “Weatherman”, a design that also nodded to the OKC weather as well as Durant’s childhood dream of being a meteorologist.

It’s unclear if Jalen’s “Weatherman” PE will hit retail, so stay tuned for updates.
