Fuzzy laces make yet another appearance.

Nike Revisits Vintage Themes With The Air Force 1 Low “Wheatgrass”

The Nike Air Force 1 Low closed out 2025 with a “Boucle” style featuring clear vintage shades, a not-so-subtle alternative to Vans’ Chanel-inspired Old Skool 36 “Souvenir” from last summer. Now Nike is revisiting that well once more with an aesthetically on-par style of a different variety.

Official images reveal camo Wheatgrass canvas across the upper, recalling the camo trend of the Y2K era and the pattern’s resurgence in the modern day. The real separator here is fuzzy Asparagus green laces, something we’ve seen used liberally across both in-house releases (Air Force 1 “Boucle,” Old Skool 36 “Souvenir”) as well as collaborations (Joe Freshgoods x New Balance 2010, Basketcase x New Balance 204L). The eyelets and backtab are made from green nubuck, the latter featuring debossed Nike Air branding. A leather sock liner adds a premium touch, and the inner tongue features canvas with slightly frayed edging. White suede lands on the Swooshes, while a tan sole featuring a slight grind texture comes in underfoot.

The Nike Air Force 1 Low “Wheatgrass” is due out Spring 2026 in men’s sizes, although no firm date has been confirmed as of this writing. We’ll update our coverage as soon as more info comes down.
