Andrew Rizzo Nike’s revamped running lineup has delivered nothing but wins. The Pegasus Premium, Vomero Plus, and Vomero Premium each have a case for being among the best new road running sneakers of 2025, and what’s more is that all three have made meaningful inroads as lifestyle wear.
As we saw with the Pegasus Premium, the new head of the Vomero franchise has proven elusive throughout its first few months on shelves, partly due to considerable demand and partly due to limited stock in all likelihood. The model’s initial run leaned heavily into flashy looks rooted in Nike Running history, including Volt, Total Orange, Hyper Crimson, and more. Now it appears Nike is shifting toward contemporary styles, designs equally suited for your run club’s brewery stop as they are for the miles that come before it.
Joining a Melitta Baumeister collaboration alongside “Realtree” and “Chalk” releases is this all-black men’s pair featuring tiny chrome mini Swooshes. The model’s Uptempo-inspired “AIR” detailing is also removed for added simplicity. As for the hardware, the Vomero Premium features an extreme max-cushioning setup, anchored by a massive ZoomX foam stack and large, exposed Air Zoom units in the heel and forefoot.
