Air Jordan 4 “Valentine’s Day”
We start off with a bang, as the hottest commodity in Jordan Brand’s arsenal tools up for V-Day. Issuing a sensible white/red split that compares favorably to the iconic “Fire Red” and later “Alternate ’89,” these year-round heaters come with a Jumpman heart hangtag for good measure. Women’s ($220), preschool ($105), and toddlers’ ($90) sizing all touch down on February 7th.
Air Jordan 4 GS “Valentine’s Day”
Maybe threading the needle between Valentine’s Day and Easter is another Air Jordan 4, this time particularly aimed at the younger demo. The GS Air Jordan 4 “Valentine’s Day” adds pastel green and blue to ever-reliable pink, also stepping up with a bubble/jewel heart accessory. Nike Air Force 1 Low “Valentine’s Day” (Locket)
The Nike Air Force 1 Low isn’t out of place at any party, so why wouldn’t it crack the invite list for this time of year? Love manifests on the streetwear titan with a trio of suede, heart-laden colorways, naturally taking on red and pink but also capitalizing on a “Triple Black” for the moodier dressers. Released midway through January, select sizes of all three colorways have begun to sell out, so if the Uptown holds weight with your beau, don’t hesitate; all three clock in at $125.
Nike Dunk Low “Valentine’s Day”
It may not be the secondary market darling it once was, but as a simple addition to the rotation, it’s still so, so hard to beat the Nike Dunk Low. Cleverly simple style is the prompt for its “Valentine’s Day” edition, as well, clocked in as a clean, if not delicate, edition of Peter Moore’s design. However, closer inspection reveals some coy detailing: a cursive “Nike” locket on the heel, velvet materials on the Swoosh, and swapping the perforations on the toe for mini hearts. This pair, dropping in women’s sizing, is due out on February 1st for $130.
Nike Air Force 1 Low “Valentine’s Day” (Ribbon)
Dare we say… ditto? Though it swaps out the choice of actual sneaker, a secondary “Valentine’s Day” edition of the Nike Air Force 1 Low carries over many of the aforementioned aspects from the Dunk, keeping that same emphasis on pastel hues and lacy ribbon touches.
New Balance 204L “Valentine’s Day”
Again flexing their ability to match trends on a pitch-perfect level, New Balance’s 204L has become a bona fide “it shoe” in the slim-soled movement, a wave that’s particularly found a home in womenswear. It’s only right, then, that the model speaks to this holiday. While you won’t see the same level of accessories that are elsewhere in this piece with NB’s embrace, the same heart-stopping pinks and reds are tastefully applied on the tech-inspired model. The New Balance 204L “Valentine’s Day” drops on January 30th for $120.
adidas Samba “Valentine’s Day”
Can anyone stop the Samba? If the inescapable model has an expiration date, we’ve yet to discover it, let alone it coming before the mid-February date. While the fire red colorway certainly speaks for itself, subtler touches like mini hearts cut out of the usual Three Stripes branding let a palpable heartbeat ride underneath this attention-grabbing look. Already sold out in an early retailer drop, the adidas Samba “Valentine’s Day” is coming soon to adidas.com in grade school sizing for $80.
adidas Superstar “Valentine’s Day”
Real ‘heads won’t need to be reminded of the adidas Superstar’s decades of defining streetwear. That cutting-edge history is why it’s no shock to see the shell toe issue the Three Stripes’ most inventive “Valentine’s Day” colorway featured here. The all-red palette in use is one that anyone could’ve dreamed up, but intricate lace patterning atop silky upper materials is where the German giant’s design team really flexes its muscle. For those who prefer to speak softly, the same goes for a paired application in red-on-black. Both adidas Superstar “Valentine’s Day” colorways are available now for $110.
Nike Shox TL “Valentine’s Day”
It may not have the storied history of the Dunk or Air Force 1, but if you’ve spent time in any central metro area in the past year, you know that Nike’s Shox line is genuinely a daily sight. The Shox TL strikes while its popularity is at an all-time high with two “Valentine’s Day” looks. In a darker colorway, bright pink embroidery and flares ensure that the holiday spirit is unambiguous. A Shox-branded ring included with each pair adds some “wink, wink” accessorizing, as well. A brighter pink and red counterpart is more straightforward in how it meets the moment. Either pair is available now via Nike.com for $190.
adidas Sambae “Valentine’s Day”
Sometimes it really is all in the name. The Sambae can be found in the adidas catalog year-round as one of many female-led offshoots of the indoor soccer icon, but is particularly well-suited for this juncture. Deep reds collide on all-leather uppers, cutely dressed up with mini hearts down the Three Stripes branding. An exaggerated gum sole stands out for the flashier dressers while maintaining that iconic Three Stripes DNA. Sadly, this colorway is sold out on adidas.com and at retail partners, but we’ll keep the widget below updated if any additional outlets offer up a second chance at love.
