Nike has long made a habit of mixing and matching iconic models and colorways, particularly when it comes to Air Max staples. Here we have an upcoming Air Max Plus that takes the Air Max 95 “Neon” as its muse, coming soon in grade school sizes.
The “Neon” 95s have held a place in the spotlight for multiple seasons now, returning last April at the height of big bubble mania and set to come back this March for an encore. This Air Max Plus does well to mimic the 95’s most iconic colorway, saddled with a Pearl Grey gradient upper, dark nubuck mudguard and heel, and subtle Neon pops on the Swoosh and tongue. The theme continues underfoot with a Black midsole and more Neon hits on the Air bubbles and midfoot plate.
We’re also still waiting on an Air Max 90 “Neon” that emerged at the tail end of last year, that pair also doing its best impression of Sergio Lozano’s most iconic footwear creation.
