Andrew Rizzo Hellstar x adidas might be the creative partnership to watch in 2026. With tons of young hypebeasts in tow, the rising LA-based streetwear imprint dropped its first-ever sneaker collab in Q4 of last year and is continuing its honeymoon phase with some of the hottest adidas releases of NBA All-Star Weekend.
Alongside the Hellstar adidas AE2 is this matching collaborative take on the Superstar silhouette, also expected to release at adidas’ on-the-ground activations in LA this weekend. If “doing the most” was a sneaker, this would be it. Black graffiti appears over a Warm Sandstone camo background, effectively matching the energy of some of the brand’s skull caps, tees, and hoodies.
Crazy as it might seem, the real point of discussion is the hardware. Distressed black stripes appear over a new dedicated panel on the quarter, finished with flames toward the rear inspired by the Hellstar logo. The tongue and eyelets are both given exposed foam edging, and multiple layers of white stitching distinguish the backtab. Silver Hellstar logos appear on the tongue, complemented by Trefoil and Hellstar branding across the left and right backtabs, respectively. Green Trefoil tags jut out from the spine, and thick laces feature subtler messaging as well. Last but not least are the insoles, taken with graphics of Hellstar’s hallmark screaming face motif.
The Hellstar x adidas Superstar “Warm Sandstone” doesn’t have a concrete release date, but pairs are expected to drop at adidas’ on-the-ground activations in Los Angeles for NBA All-Star Weekend (happening from February 13th-15th). Retail is set at $180 USD.
