It’s tough for any brand to reach the heights of the indomitable Jibbitz, but nonetheless companies have continued to toss their hat in the ring of charmed footwear. In Beaverton, the Air Jordan 1 “Clips” and a variety of general release editions have spoken to the cresting aesthetic.

Shifting to the Air Max lineage, Sean McDowell’s Plus now gets in on the action, featuring a Swoosh ring that’s physically laced into the design. We’d be lying if we said we didn’t think of some of this year’s Valentine’s Day edition, but this appears to be an homage to jewelry overall rather than any popping of the question. Following suit from that inset detail, silvery tones dominate the rest of the shoe, making good use of the gradients the silhouette so frequently reaches for.

The Nike Air Max Plus “White/Ashen Slate” should be hitting Nike.com in the next few weeks. A $180 retail price and women’s sizing are confirmed.
