To befit this new slip-on life, extended tongues are affixed to the body of the shoe with branded rivets. Cork insoles and material swaps from shoe to shoe (the black wears patent, its counterpart makes heavy use of suede) are some of the additional revelations with this image set.

Kids of Immigrants and Nike didn’t release a sneaker in 2025, opting instead to let their budding partnership marinate following their universally praised Air Max Sunder collab the year prior. Yet the Los Angeles-based brand hasn’t exactly been quiet since, with co-founder Daniel Buezo playing a role in the Levi’s x Air Max 95 campaign and appearing on a panel at the Virgil Abloh Archives exhibition in Paris.
Now with the 2026 FIFA World Cup coming into focus, Kids of Immigrants stands out as a natural collaborator for Nike in celebrating the global game. For his part, Buezo has jumped back into the mix with a teaser of an upcoming Nike Football collaboration. Early info points to the model being called the T90 Mule, though it may also go by “Nike Together 90,” as suggested by a branded travel card pictured alongside the shoes.
Nike has released Total 90 mules in the past, but Buezo’s teaser points to something more new model than retro – noticeably different from the comparatively sparse 2000s versions. Details include cork insoles stamped with the KOI logo inside the Nike Football triangle, plus a Light Mulberry sockliner and mesh tongue. Classic Olive leather appears along the sides, Khaki suede lands on the collar and tongue cover, and University Gold/Fusion Red animate two visible Swooshes.
This is one of two upcoming KOI takes on this model, joined by a “Velvet Brown/University Gold-Orange Horizon-Fusion Red-Off Noir-Anthracite” option. Release details for either pair have not been announced at the time of writing. Expect that to change as the 2026 FIFA World Cup draws closer.
