But for a moment, we’re excited to step beyond the headlines and bring you our first-ever sneaker release.

Sneaker News has launched its first-ever sneaker – a collaboration with A BATHING APE® on the iconic BAPE STA. Following the StockX drop earlier this week, we’re bringing the project home with an in-store release at the BAPE New York flagship on May 8th. We’re also hosting a Sneaker News x BAPE pop-up powered by StockX at 70 Hester St. from May 8th-9th. The white “Day” edition will be available, as will the grey “Night” in very limited quantities. Swing by from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM to celebrate with us.

The Sneaker News x BAPE STA reflects the environment that shaped us. We looked to the visual language of 1990s outdoor gear and the nonstop rhythm of the concrete jungle, channeling that energy into a design that pushes the BAPE STA forward. At the center is a first-of-its-kind triple-stacked STA logo, a bold evolution of a silhouette we’ve long respected.

The story comes to life through two colorways: Day and Night. The white “Day” edition captures the movement and urgency of daylight hours, while the grey “Night” reflects the late grind of the city that never sleeps. Both pairs are finished with Sneaker News branding and Collector Club detailing, marking this moment in our journey.

This collaboration is highly limited; the white “Day” pair is limited to 1,386 pairs only, while the grey “Night” is far more exclusive with just 556 pairs globally. MSRP is set at $349.
