Introducing the Nike Air Max 1000.2, an evolved iteration of the fully 3D-printed Air Max 1000 that continues to push the boundaries of how sneakers are designed, produced, and experienced. Building on its predecessor, the .2 version refines key elements of the outsole with updated shaping and a more efficient lug system
These subtle changes are designed to improve production speed without compromising wearability. Much like software updates, each release serves as a new version by fine-tuning geometry, performance, and print efficiency over time. It’s a shift toward a more fluid, continuously improving product cycle.
Despite the technical advancements, the core experience remains intact. The Air Max 1000.2 retains its soft and responsive feel, combining the signature one-piece build with plush comfort. Wavy textures across the upper nod to the original Nike Air Max 1, adding visual depth while maintaining a laceless, slip-on design.
As part of Nike’s upcoming Air Works initiative, designers from around the world will collaborate on future 3D-printed Air Max concepts, further expanding the possibilities of additive manufacturing.
The Air Max 1000.2 will release globally via Zellerfeld through a raffle (window open from May 4–7), followed by a North America launch on May 7 via SNKRS. MSRP is set for $200.
