Nike SB has taken a huge swing by turning the Air Force 1 into a legitimate skate shoe. Whether the Nike SB Air Force 1 can truly hang with core skate models is a question best left to the skaters, but the reworked shape looks excellent – lower, wider, and overall more faithful to the AF1’s original 1980s construction.
This Nike SB Air Force 1 arrives in a familiar “Wheat” makeup, featuring a buttery suede upper paired with a full gum sole unit. The palette carries ties to both the Air Force 1 and SB Dunk lineage, the former long celebrated for its workboot-inspired “Wheat” colorway that returns periodically during the fall and winter months. Nike SB famously tapped into that formula with an SB Dunk Low in 2021, though you can technically trace the lineage back to Reese Forbes’ “Wheat” Dunks if we’re being literal. These SB Forces land somewhere in the middle of those two worlds, and quite masterfully so.
No release date for the Nike SB Air Force 1 “Wheat” has been announced yet, though a Summer or Fall 2026 launch appears likely. See detailed images below and stay tuned for updates.
