Andrew Rizzo Nike Football has unveiled its suite of Nike Cryoshot collaborations in full, a total of seven styles inspired by classic Nike boots and tied to the countries each partner calls home.
Here we have Patta’s Nike Cryoshot collab, featuring a design inspired by the iconic Mercurial R9 boot made famous during the 1998 World Cup. Regular readers will recall that this was actually the first-ever Nike Cryoshot to hit the net, first teased by Patta co-founder Gee Schmidt exactly one year ago tomorrow.
While the Mercurial R9 is best known for its blue and yellow “Brazil” colorway synonymous with Brazilian striker Ronaldo Nazário, Patta updates the model with the colors of the Netherlands national team. Black and silver leather forms the upper, while vibrant orange hits land on the piping and Swooshes. Patta’s collaborative World Cup kit has also been unveiled, a striking black and orange design featuring ornate lion graphics tied to the Netherlands national team crest.
The Patta x Nike Cryoshot launches June 11th via pattaxnike.com and Patta chapter stores in Amsterdam, London, Milan, and Lagos, with a wider release via Nike SNKRS and select retailers following on June 16th.
