The 25-year-old singer-songwriter, who opened for Swift at the London stop of the Eras Tour and has since racked up almost a billion streams, is checking off another milestone this month with her debut sneaker collaboration.
ASICS, on a considerable rise of their own, deserves credit for recognizing the opportunity, letting Griff loose on the recently reintroduced GEL-Cumulus 16. Edgy yet feminine is a solid way to describe the creative choices. Ruffled fabric on the tongue, forefoot, and heel immediately calls to mind collaborations by Shushu/Tong, contrasted figuratively by a black synthetic foundation and literally by a white tongue and laces.
