Upon first seeing the Nike GT Future, sneaker fans had one resounding reaction: bring back the Hyperflights. And Nike listened. The muse behind that next-gen basketball model made its earnest return during NBA All-Star Weekend with the release of Jason Williams’ Sacramento Kings PE, and now the retro run is being supplemented by new styles, including an upcoming SLAM collaboration as well as essential colorways pulled straight from the early 2000s.
The Nike Zoom Hyperflight “Varsity Red” is next up, aligning closely with an early edition with a glossy leather upper, white mini Swooshes, and black hits on the interior, outsole, and TPU frame. You can still technically hoop in these if you dare, but with nearly a quarter-century behind the model, the Hyperflight stands more as a lifestyle retro than a true performance proposition in 2026.
The Nike Zoom Hyperflight “Varsity Red” releases Fall 2026 for $170 in men’s sizes. See official images below if you’re set on copping.
