The New Balance 1890 Issues A Multicolor “Streamsong”

The New Balance 1890 journey is well underway, given an initial boost by the Stone Islands and JJJJounds of the world, and sustained after that head start by heavy inline investment by the Boston brand.

In much the same way that the New Balance 9060 has leaned into its hybrid composition with equally eccentric colorblocking, the New Balance 1890 has found a home base in zany arrangements that its more straightforward peers couldn’t credibly pull off. Despite a recent “Linen” or a “Grey Days” showcase, the aesthetics of the “Streamsong” colorway featured here are a vibe we should all get familiar with as we chart future moves for the silhouette. Hi-visibility green and orange dot around a subtler navy foundation, elevating the 8090 synthetic overlays and the 2002 sole unit underfoot.

An official New Balance date for the 1890 “Streamsong” hasn’t been announced, but retailers like Sneaker Politics have June 25th in mind. An EQL launch via the Southern storefront is open now, commanding its standard $180 retail price.
