Rather than needing top-tier status within a brand or requiring a customs artist to approximate the same, brands are increasingly allowing cleated versions of their lifestyle and performance icons to hit the market for the public.

Though Nike has been a leader in this regard, its rivals are also picking up the pace; see the adidas Anthony Edwards 1 Cleat that made landfall this year. Nonetheless, Beaverton is holding onto its lead by filling out the catalog with Retro-turned-performance models, now dropping the Air Jordan 11 Low TD “Triple Black” for grade school wearers. The original pair fully captured our attention, taking the dressy ethos of the AJ11 to its fullest extent, with that prom-ready patent leather crossing over well into this on-field application.

The Air Jordan 11 Low TD “Triple Black” in GS sizing is dropping on July 1st, retailing for $115.
