Already with a deep roster of notable collaborations before his “residency program,” his 1908 program helped turn some truly uncharted archive pieces into massive successes, from the Jogger to the Naut-1 to the Bronco Boot.
Whether it’s part of that 1908 program or a step beyond, we’re now getting indications of what the multi-hyphenate is plotting next. Via his social media feed and snaps from overseas, we’re getting our first look at the Tyler, The Creator x Le Fleur x Converse Pro Leather, staying in that vintage lane by sticking to one of the brand’s vaunted original basketball designs.
While much of the standard build remains from the company’s last inline exploration, a notable change comes in the rubber toe, outfitted with an exaggerated star mark. Le Fleur branding is, of course, in heavy use, and the colorways shown for the model’s debut keep to the blend of expressive and preppy that Tyler has tended towards throughout his career.
Chunky laces come attached to green-on-white, silver-on-green, and white-on-red options, with faux-aged treatments on the soles of each. Paging back a few days, the man himself pulled out a black and cream pair at the Jackass: Best and Last premiere.
It’s unclear when exactly to expect the Tyler, The Creator x Converse Pro Leather, but it’s safe to say the rollout has already gotten underway. Expect concrete release details in short order; pairs have already started touching down at Converse Indonesia locations.
