LeBron James Teases The Nike LeBron 24

Father time hasn’t caught up to LeBron just yet. The biggest question of last season, will LeBron retire, got a definitive answer the other week when LeBron officially inked a two-year, $8 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers, a shocking move back east that LeBron and many pundits believe gives him the best chance to add more hardware to the trophy case. There will indeed be a year 24, and for our purposes, there will indeed be a Nike LeBron 24.

LeBron James has officially debuted his latest signature model on Instagram, first through a story teaser and then via a post from @chrisjohnsonhoops. Though largely obscured and out of focus, we can make out an all-black colorway, something of a tradition for LeBron’s signature shoe teasers these past few seasons. Images show another low-cut silhouette akin to the LeBron 23, minus the large crown mold on the sides. The black strap visible in LeBron’s story is part of the exercise machine, not the shoe.

The very existence of the Nike LeBron 24 was confirmed by The King himself during an appearance on Tyrese Haliburton’s “Mind The Game” podcast earlier this year, albeit it wasn’t a guarantee that LeBron would be in the league to lace ’em up in NBA action. There’s been some speculation that Nike might continue LeBron’s numbered line following his eventual retirement, though that’s all TBD at this juncture. Nike does appear to be creating a roadmap with the Nike LeBron NXXT Gen series, using the takedown line as something of an incubator for rising talent like JuJu Watkins.

While we now know it wasn’t the last of LeBron’s signature models worn during his playing career, the Nike LeBron 23 was something of a hits tour during its run, taking on a number of inspired styles tied to LeBron’s life and storied playing career, including a handful of homages to his former teams. What specific path the LeBron 24 takes, if any, will be an interesting point of discussion. At the very least, a Philadelphia 76ers colorway seems like a surefire guarantee.

The Nike LeBron 24 is set to release Fall/Winter 2026 via Nike and select retailers, potentially in October to align with Nike’s past LeBron signature cadence. See sneak peek images below and stay tuned for updates.
