Andrew Rizzo Nike and wellness company Hyperice are continuing their partnership with the Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide, an electric recovery slide that massages the foot with targeted heat and vibration.
As impressed as we often are by Nike’s forays into battery-powered footwear, the genre as a whole has been far from perfect. The Nike Adapt line of the mid to late 2010s was expensive and rather underwhelming from a performance standpoint, more of a “look what we can do” showcase than a line built around clear, worthwhile benefits. And while we’re big fans of the Hyperice-made Nike Hyperboot that kicked off the partnership last year, the everyday consumer doesn’t have close to $1,000 to spend on footwear, no matter how beneficial it is to recovery.
At $250, the Nike Air Zoom Hyperslide is different. Not only is it affordable for a much larger portion of the population, it simply makes sense as a product, solving a real problem rather than existing as a mere tech flex. The strap features both targeted Hyperice heat, up to 117°F, and vibration engineered to reduce tension and relax the feet, offering a purposeful replacement for athletes’ pre and post-game slip-ons. The sole, meanwhile, features full-length Air Zoom cushioning for reliable comfort.
