Last dropping off a three-headed collaboration that brought Disney to a dress shoe overhaul of the Predator cleat, every capsule has taught us to expect the unexpected when the two companies link up; a flame-licked wrestling capsule centered on the Japan, Y2K looks for the truly performance-minded Barricade 13, and plenty of zany concepts in between.
As we enter year three of Brain Dead x adidas, it appears that the two are looking back at the very start of their shared history. Before any of their pairs ever hit the public, the two united for a friends & family bowling shoe release. To be sure, that dressed-up idea has been revisited in the time since, visible with a Dover Street Market exclusive in 2025, but things are finally going wide.
Coming off the heels of several inline drops, the adidas Samba bowling is the model in focus here. In almost a Grace Wales Bonner fashion, the platformed re-take of the iconic terrace shoe arrives in two zoological executions, one in the black/orange cheetah print it’s previously gone viral for, and one in a green/tan snakeskin.
This Brain Dead x adidas Samba Bowling capsule is listed at retailers with an August 1st release, but given that no rollout or promotional materials have come out of either brand, it seems that a wide launch will likely come after that date.
