The Swoosh is following up its massive collaborative Croyshot collection with a number of new styles honoring iconic boots and, more importantly, the legends who made them famous. After serving as the foundation for Virgil Abloh Archive’s Team USA pair, Mia Hamm’s signature Nike Air Zoom M9 returns sans collaborator in a heritage colorway steeped in American soccer history.
Mia Hamm was central to two of the greatest moments in United States soccer history, part of the USWNT squads that led the country to World Cup glory in 1991 and 1999. Add two FIFA World Player of the Year awards, inductions into four separate Halls of Fame, and countless other accolades, and the résumé speaks for itself. If you remember even a sliver of the ’90s or early 2000s, you know her name. Ask any casual American sports fan today to name a soccer star, and hers will likely be one of the first.
The Nike Air Zoom M9 is Mia Hamm’s signature cleat, released as part of the Nike Alpha Project in 1999 and worn during the World Cup that same year. This Cryoshot version comes in black leather with carbon fiber accents on the sides, contrasted by white on the Swoosh and heel panel. Hamm’s signature logo appears on the backtab, with additional red accents on the spikes visible within the clear TPU frame.
Mia Hamm’s Nike Cryoshot Zoom M9 is expected to release in 2027 for $200, though no date has been made public as of this writing. See official images below and stay tuned for updates.
