Matt Varga VandyThePink shut down New York City with the release of his ASICS GEL Nimbus 10.1 alongside atmos. It’s only right he ran it back as he took the mantle as the sole collaborator on his sequel ASICS GEL-Kayano 12.1 in “Vanilla” and “Chocolate,” eliciting the same sky-high fan demand. Yet if you missed out on his site launch and the in-person activation, there’s hope yet.
Though the “Chocolate” will remain exclusive to those aforementioned releases, the VandyThePink x ASICS GEL-Kayano 12.1 “Vanilla” will be seeing a global launch on August 14th. ASICS’ major in Y2K silver is here applied to represent an ice cream scoop, with the dessert theme represented with vanilla white mesh and rainbow sprinkle trim, including pink outsoles and yellow/green in the GEL cushioning underfoot. Custom insoles with cutesy co-branding finalize this particular pair.
Again, the VandyThePink ASICS GEL-Kayano 12.1 “Vanilla” will be dropping on August 14th, expected via ASICS channels and partnering retailers. Retail is set at $195.
