Matt Varga Updated August 23rd, 2026: Following its initial teaser, Nike has officially unveiled its One Piece collaboration, revealing three Air Max Plus colorways alongside a full assortment of apparel and accessories.
As expected, the footwear collection draws directly from the legendary Devil Fruits of the One Piece universe. The Gomu Gomu no Mi, Ope Ope no Mi, and Mera Mera no Mi each inspire their own Air Max Plus, with Nike going beyond color changes by creating completely retooled uppers exclusive to the collaboration.
The footwear is joined by jerseys and caps drawing from the Nike archive, while T-shirts feature Monkey D. Luffy’s Jolly Roger alongside manga illustrations reimagined through the visual language of classic Nike advertisements. A special vest takes the storytelling even further, referencing the Devil Fruits’ infamous side effect of leaving those who consume them unable to swim.
The collection begins rolling out through select global pop-ups and retailers in September before its wider launch on SNKRS on September 25th.

Yes, believe it or not, the Nike x One Piece collection is real. First confirmed by early info sources at the very tail end of 2025, the impending collection unites the global sportswear titan and one of the most iconic anime franchises of all time, the latest in a new vein of pop culture inspiration for the Swoosh. Headed up by dotSWOOSH, the One Piece x Nike Air Max Plus “Devil Fruits” are evidently hurtling towards release, as fresh teaser spots have continued to solidify.
First showcasing a Swoosh-engraved Poneglyph with “ROMANCE DAWN” attached messaging, the Nike team has steadily been upping the ante for this link-up, both in terms of spectacle and in terms of on-the-nose call-outs related to the series. In the latest, their subliminals become undeniable, as the official social includes references to Devil Fruits, long understood to be the central inspiration for this upcoming Air Max Plus series.
IRL ingesters of the powered-up produce are shown, including two under the effect of the Mera Mera no Mi and Monkey D. Luffy’s Gomu Gomu no Mi. Though they’re shot from a distance, you can squint and make out pairs of the TNs on feet; three pairs are expected. Of course, this comes in the wake of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Air Max 95 series, almost inarguably dotSWOOSH’s most prominent project to date and one that signaled Nike’s willingness to dip into anime.
