Andrew Rizzo Iconic Japanese manga and anime series One Piece is teaming up with Nike on an Air Max Plus collection for Fall 2026 – a massive moment for both brands.
No images of the sneakers have surfaced yet, but Sneaker Files reports that the collection will include three styles inspired by Devil Fruits, the supernatural fruits that grant unique powers in the series. Specifically, the sneakers are said to reference the Gomu Gomu, Mera Mera, and Ope Ope fruits. Apparel is also expected to be part of the drop.
First serialized in 1997, with the anime debuting in 1999, One Piece has grown into a global juggernaut with over half a billion copies in circulation. More than two decades later, spanning over 1,000 chapters, 1,000 episodes, and 15 films, it remains one of the most popular and culturally relevant series of all time, earning consistent critical acclaim alongside its massive reach.
One Piece has a short but memorable footwear history, including a Vans collaboration in 2022, a PUMA project in 2024, and most recently a Crocs collaboration earlier this year. Not to throw shade at those brands, but a partnership with Nike, the sneaker industry’s dominant force, elevates things to an entirely different level of cultural significance. Factor in that the collaboration lands on one of Nike’s most popular Air Max models, and a winning formula is already in place.
The One Piece x Nike Air Max Plus “Devil Fruits” collection is expected to release in Fall 2026, meaning sometime between next July and September. We’ll share more details as soon as additional information becomes available.
