Matt Varga Updated September 14th, 2026: Taller De Rafa began the official roll-out of their collaboration through a teaser featuring the legendary Nissan R34 Skyline and their upcoming Air Max Goadome Low project. A pop-up release at1439 Inwood Ave from 12 – 5 PM is set for September 19th before a wide drop takes place on September 25th. A $180 retail price is confirmed.
There’s no doubt that the (sneaker) stars are still out as you page through Nike’s recent and upcoming collabs: the Undefeated Jordan 5, Virgil Abloh Archive Jordan 1, and even the upcoming MoMA Jordan 1 all speak to the continuing power of headline-grabbing partners. Yet increasingly, we’ve seen Beaverton turn to a grassroots approach, as the incidence of first-time partners has steadily ramped up across their holdings. Taller De Rafa, after dropping several apparel collections and hosting a few in-person activations with the Swoosh, now joins the ranks with the Air Max Goadome Low.
For the initiated, TDR is a streetwear imprint started by sibling duo Genesis and Rafael Valverde in the pandemic, now having grown from a bespoke screen-printing operation into a well-established part of NYC’s rich mosaic. The Bronx label has leaned into an automobile focus in recent seasons, utilizing a “Pop The Trunk” theme for many of their collections and their previews, again a driving factor in their first Nike footwear.
The Nike Air Max Goadome Low is the canvas, first tipping off the more down-and-dirty motif with oil-stained packaging. The same distressing carries over onto the uppers, albeit in a bit more restrained fashion, with brushed edges of the shoe’s brown leather panelling and an exposed Swoosh/TDR patch on the heel. As seen up top, a speed wrench arrives as a hangtag, aligning with the new hexagonal eyestays. Boot laces, mesh collars and eyestays, and three alternate lace options (boot, wide-two tone, and thin leather) close out what’s ultimately a laser-focused remodel of the boot style.
