While certainly they relish any opportunity to flex the strength of their roster in typical 5-on-5 action, Jordan Brand has honed their focus for the past few years alongside their traditional efforts. Yes, “The One,” a mano-y-mano championship series held across the globe in search of the greatest upcoming individual talent, is upon us again. After scouring global hubs from New York City to Tokyo, ten finalists are set to square off on August 29th, but Jordan Brand is already setting the stage in Shanghai.

Yet if nothing else, Nike, Inc. continues to prove themselves multitaskers. As if The One wasn’t box-office enough, this trip has already borne fruit with the reveal of the Air Jordan 41, paying off the stage it was revealed on with a China-exclusive colorway to begin its journey. From there, Jayson Tatum made some public appearances and met his fans in Shanghai, to later be joined by additional brand-wearers like Paolo Banchero, Jared McCain, and Stephon Castle.

For those aligned with us in being footwear focused, The One Global Finals will also select a winner from the Jordan Design Studio once and for all, simultaneously announcing which of the winning 8 creations will move forward for a public launch.
