For the folks in the Sneaker News office, these are the (three) horseman of Fall/Winter, and our front page has been well-stocked with the latter as summer begins to wind down. Though Cordura has recently given the traditional waterproof material a run for its money in overhauling streetwear titans into hardy winter warriors, GORE-Tex continues to make an impact with shoes like the white/blue Air Force 1 featured here.
Aesthetically, this pair flips our expectations for colder month kicks, obviously pinning far lighter shades on this hardy base than we normally see. It’ll certainly take a bit more elbow grease to keep these crispy during the seasons ahead, but it’s hard to argue any time the Uptown takes on a “Triple White” style look. Cerulean embroidery around the Swoosh breaks up that arrangement, while tumbled leather and nylon take over the foundation.
