Sneaker News New Balance is keeping things close to home with its newest brand ambassador. The Boston-based company has officially welcomed Ayo Edebiri to the New Balance family, adding the award-winning actress, comedian, writer, and director to its growing roster of cultural talent.
Fittingly, Edebiri’s first campaign brings her back to her hometown in Boston. Photographed by Tyler Mitchell and styled by Danielle Goldberg, the campaign visits locations including Boston Latin School, Boston Public Garden, and a triple-decker home reminiscent of her childhood neighborhood of Dorchester. At the center of the imagery is the New Balance 574, connecting one of the brand’s most enduring silhouettes with a creative who grew up in the same city.
“Growing up in Boston, New Balance was simply part of the city’s story, so coming together feels incredibly natural,” Edebiri says.
The partnership will extend beyond this introductory campaign, with New Balance confirming that Edebiri will appear in future brand storytelling while also collaborating on creative projects and cultural initiatives.
