With the Kobe AD bring-back looming and the Kobe 10 recently coming off the board, we’re running out of silhouettes that we need a Protro version of. The Kobe 2 and Kobe 7 are currently the only kicks from his playing career that haven’t met modern performance toolings. Yet the stewards of the Kobe Brand legacy, as if they were aware of the diminishing untapped real estate, have done a great job of introducing new pathways to keep the Mamba’s legacy coursing through the catalog, with the Kobe x Nike Air Force 1 series the foremost lifestyle expression.

Now spanning over a dozen colorways, the Kobe Nike Air Force 1 Low thunders in with this “Dynamic Yellow” / “5 Rings” colorway, as official images of kids’ sizing come to light. To get a sense of why that championship moniker is attached, you’ll need to look at the insoles, where alternating graphics depict his hardware laid flat and on a cutesy hand graphic. Otherwise, this pair returns to the confetti-style platforms, approaching a “Minneapolis Lakers” concept, but almost undoubtedly tooled to go with the Kobe 3 Low “Dynamic Yellow” dropping at the top of October.

It isn’t entirely confirmed that the Kobe Bryant x Nike Air Force 1 Low “5 Rings” is kids’ exclusive, but these full print midsole versions have been in the past. For now, you can expect this colorway touching down in Grade School sizing on October 1st, retailing for $105.
