Salomon is really getting a hang of this whole “hype shoe” thing. Already demonstrating their deftness for the form via the rollout of the XT-Whisper, they’re flexing their expertise for the silhouette debut with their latest new face, the Salomon XT-EVO. First handed to Ronnie Fieg and KITH, the modified version of the XT-6 tooling now makes another collaborative splash, as creative director Hirofumi Kojima reveals the atmos Salomon XT-EVO.

The vaunted Japanese imprint has already dabbled in this next-gen chrome aesthetic recently with the Samba “Tuxedo,” but the molded synthetic uppers and grid textures on this silhouette make it a perfect match for that ethos. Though perhaps this two-tone arrangement leans into the more simplistic side of things, co-branded Salomon/Atmos insoles with mercury finishes make this a cohesive delivery overall.
