The Spiz’ike Low Utility suits up for the season with some key material changes, set to roll out over the coming months in a number of colorways. This latest option takes after one of the model’s most popular makeups in the “Triple Black” aka “Black Cat,” landing soon via Nike and select retailers.
Most winterized Nike and Jordan models come out more rugged or bulkier than their standard counterparts, but the Spiz’ike Low Utility is actually a bit sleeker, built on ripstop uppers and a new synthetic mudguard. Everything else, including the outsole, Jordan 6 tongue, and Jordan 4 flaps, is kept standard.
This colorway sticks close to the “Black Cat” template, albeit with reflective laces and an army green hue on the eyelets and lace lock. The Spiz’ike proper was a popular winter shoe in its heyday thanks to its own winterized edition, but Jordan Brand has kept that particular composition a kids exclusive in recent years. If you’re out for that same vibe, this might be your strongest option.
