Andrew Rizzo The Air Jordan 6 hasn’t marked its 35th anniversary with quite the same fervor as the AJ5 did last year, although there have been a handful of standouts in Jordan Brand’s packed release calendar for the model, namely the Bin23 release, Awake NY collection, and “Salesman” 6s from NBA All-Star Weekend. Preceding next year’s Jordan 6 “Carmine” retro is the 1991-born Jordan 6 “White/Infrared,” last released in 2014 and now coming back for a long overdue retro drop.
Shown here for the first time, the 2026 “White/Infrared” is the first version to carry “Nike Air” on the heel since the original 1991 drop, a detail the purest of collectors will no doubt appreciate. The shoe’s other two retros, the first arriving as part of the “Infrared Pack” from 2010, both featured Jumpman branding back there instead.
The shape of the Jordan 6 has changed slightly over the years, but the other main point of discussion is the Infrared accent on the top portion of the midsole. Infrared is, for whatever reason, probably the color Jordan heads obsess over most, presenting somewhat differently on each subsequent retro bearing its name. This shade looks pretty in line with past iterations, though the aging of those pairs has made the true manufacturer color difficult to trace.
