Kevin Durant Is The Slim Reaper On The Nike KD 19 “Halloween”

Updated October 12th, 2026: Official images of the Nike KD 19 “Halloween” have now been uploaded, confirming the two-tone orange/black split in the upper, glow-in-the-dark detailing, and a skeletal side graphic. Given that the season typically starts right before October 31st, NBA players have provided us with plenty of Halloween content either in team parties or tunnel walks. Who can forget LeBron James’ take on Pennywise, or Victor Wembanyama leaning into the bit with his spin on Slenderman? Kevin Durant may get flak for lacking a sense of humor from time to time, but he’s embraced the holiday on choice occasions, pulling up as Martin Lawrence’s Blue Streak or as Jason Voorhees. We’re not sure what the Slim Reaper has planned for 2026, but we are now getting a sense of what his Nike KD 19 is wearing for Halloween.

In a vein of “first looks” that’s only picked up steam in recent months, our initial impression of the KD 19 “Halloween” comes via lookbook images for different Nike products entirely. A model wearing some Durant merch is also sporting this spooky szn spin on foot, flexing a sensible black-on-orange that provides both seasonal fare and the shoe’s first real take on two-tone blocking. A glow-in-the-dark outsole is likely given the semi-translucent off-white planted underfoot, aligning with an eerie graphic that defines the lateral sides.

While longtime Nike Basketball devotees look back fondly on the various “Christmas” and “All-Star” collections as annual high points in the performance roster, 2026 is demonstrating how highly the Swoosh ranks its end-of-October capsule as well. This adds to the Caitlin 1 “Halloween,” Book 2 “Halloween,” Ja 4 “Halloween,” and Sabrina 4 “Halloween” in what’s shaping up to be an all-hands-on-deck occasion.

The Nike KD 19 “Halloween,” carrying a palette of “Bright Crimson / Lime Ice / Stadium Green / Dark Smoke Grey,” is already listed at retailers for an October 23rd release. A $165 retail price is expected.
