Joining hands with individual musicians is no doubt the most visible way that Nike steps into that world. With any and all Travis Scott shoes stopping the industry in its tracks and partnerships with the likes of Yeat, LISA, and Tyla, don’t expect those sponsorships to slow down anytime soon. However, the Swoosh has also been receptive to more general relationships, visible as Victory Lap Radio earns their own Nike Air Force 1 Low.
Immediately, we’re filing this alongside the Apron Records Air Max 180 or Pan Records Air Max 180, shoes that played into Air Max’s enduring legacy overseas by bringing local institutions in for their own take on the underrated runner. Victory Lap Radio offers a different entry point into the music ecosystem, yet still carries similar cultural ties, a grassroots platform that aims to break the latest and greatest talent from the UK’s bustling grime scene.
The imprint’s take on the Air Forc 1 sticks close to their own established branding, with a Swoosh-holding chibi character, printed insoles, and a host of spell-outs and other emblems making good on their marketing footprint. In terms of the palettte here, the Victory Lap Radio x Nike Air Force 1 leans on a multicolor split of birght green, light greey, white, and red, all pasted on patent leather materiality used in heavy doses on the uppers.
The Victory Lap Radio x Nike Air Force 1 Low doesn’t carry a firm release date at the time of this writing, but these will almost assuredly get a priority SNKRS release. View official images embedded below while we await concrete details.
