Sneaker News Nike is taking the Air Force 1 back to school with a new “NCAA” Pack celebrating four of the biggest programs in college sports.
The upcoming collection features the Oregon Ducks, Texas Longhorns, Georgia Bulldogs, and Kentucky Wildcats, with each school receiving its own monochromatic take on Bruce Kilgore’s iconic low-top. Rather than loading the shoes with collegiate graphics, Nike keeps the designs remarkably simple, allowing each university’s instantly recognizable colors to do most of the talking.
Oregon naturally arrives dressed entirely in green, while Texas gets its unmistakable burnt orange. Georgia takes the Air Force 1 in red, with Kentucky rounding out the group in Wildcats blue. Matching tones extend across the leather uppers, Swooshes, laces, midsoles, and outsoles for a clean head-to-toe finish.
The collegiate details are considerably more subtle, with each school’s lettermark and mascot logo are debossed into the leather at the heels, preserving the tonal appearance while making the affiliation clear upon closer inspection. Additional school lettering appears across the insoles.
