Yet there’s still more novelty on the hardwood as we ramp up to the regular season. Devin Booker has had a whole summer to build up his PE arsenal for this very moment, taking on Chicago in a Nike Book 2 “Just Don” PE.
This sandy edition comes on the heels of a Nike Book 2 “Just Don” black colorway that he debuted in one of the Suns’ first exhibitions. While that pair took its silky arrangement from an unreleased sample of Don C’s iconic collab, this one should register without any backstory; it’s the same rosy arrangement that hit the public in 2017. The same quilted uppers from the released Book 2 remain intact, just swapped to those Mother’s Day tones the Chicago designer explored.
Overall, this reminds us of Book’s various exclusive color swaps of old, like his personal versions of the Book 1 “Halloween” some years ago that eventually led to this year’s Book 2 “Halloween.” Whether we can expect similar inspiration in the future of his line is currently unclear, but for now, we’re treating this as if only Devin himself has a shot at these.
